New Works Series - A Night of Spoken Word (2022)

  • Masquerad Theatre 301 West Washington Street Riverside, NJ, 08075 United States (map)

About A Night of Spoken Word:

"Poets are the sense, philosophers the intelligence of humanity." - from Disjecta: Miscellaneous Writings and a Dramatic Fragment, written by Ruby Cohn and playwright Samuel Beckett

Poetry, a beautiful expression of the complexity of language, walks hand in hand with theatre arts. Both present commentary on the world at large, and can offer comfort, challenge, or a moment of self-reflection. For National Poetry Month, Masquerade welcomes back contemporary poets Jaquair Gillette and Isabel Cruz to share their most impactful pieces with you. Join us for an exceptional artistic experience, and support a fabulous art form in our return of the Pay-What-You-Can event, A Night of Spoken Word.

Performances will be in-person and simultaneously stream live on YouTube on April 23rd at 8pm (EST). This is a Pay-What-You-Wish event.
