Based on the 1915 novel of the same name by John Buchan, The 39 Steps follows a man with a terribly boring life who meets a woman with a thick accent. She says she's a spy. When he takes her home, she is murdered. Soon, a mysterious organization called “The 39 Steps” is hot on the man’s trail in a nationwide manhunt! A bit of James Bond, a dash of Hitchcock dramatics, and a sprinkling of Monty Python makes this hilarious, fast-paced whodunit!
