New Works Series - Mothers of Musical Theatre (2023)

About Mothers of Musical Theatre:

Masquerade Small Programs returns with our showcase series! Next up, we at Masquerade want to highlight a much-neglected demographic of the theatre world: PARENTS!

Parents sacrifice so much for the betterment of their children, and we want to repay that great act by giving them their deserved time in the spotlight. This showcase series for Mother’s AND Father’s Day will host pieces about and dedicated to parents.

Mothers of Musical Theatre hosts an exciting new cast of performers ready to dazzle and inspire with their dedication to motherhood. Whether taking the stage as a mother themselves to one-up their children or joining the cast to share their love for their own mom, these stellar performers will fill our black box with pieces from Big Fish, Waitress, Dear Evan Hansen, Secret Garden, and more!

Come out to Masquerade Theatre Studios Friday, May 19th at 8pm to celebrate these Marvelous Mothers of Musical Theatre, and don’t forget to join us again June 17th for Follie’s Fathers, our Father’s Day Showcase! See parents take center stage for once and show these kids where they REALLY got their talent from!
